Pendant l'été #2 - During the summer #2

Juste après la fin de l'école, il y a eu cette petite virée à Nancy que j'avais organisé à la demande d'amis qui quittent le Luxembourg et ne connaissait pas la ville dont j'avais vanté les charmes... J'y ai passé 4 ans il y a très longtemps et je l'ai toujours aimé... Nous sommes donc partis pour une journée, avec un soleil magnifique. Nous avons apprécier le cortège de mariages en cette belle journée ensoleillée et nous avons fait le tour des lieux traditionels, ainsi, nous avons déjeuné au Grand Café de Foy sur la place Stanislas après l'avoir, bien sûr, admirée, nous sommes passés devant l'église Saint Epvre,nous avons admiré de loin la cathédrale, passé du bon temps au parc de la pépinière (où j'ai été incapable de retrouver les animaux!), flâné dans les rues où nous pouvions admirer les plus belles villas Art Déco, diné au café de Flo où bien sûr les enfants ont eu droits à leur chorale pour leur souhaiter leurs anniversaires... J'ai quitté la ville il y a 20 ans, j'y suis revenu sporadiquement dans les années qui ont suivies, mais nous ne nous y étions pas promené depuis au moins 15 ans... Nous avons passé un fantastique journée en fantastique companie. Et que s'est-on promis???

Just after school finished, we had this day trip to Nanacy that I organised following the request of friends who are leaving Luxembourg and never visited the city which I had extolled the charms... I spent 4 years there many, many years ago and I always loved it... We went there for a day wth a wonderful sun. We enjoyed the processions of weddings on this lovely sunny day and we have been around the tradiotional touristic sites. So we had lunch in the Grand Café de Foy on the place Stanislas that we had first admired, we passed the Saint Epvre (to be prounounced "Evre"), admired from afar the cathedral, spent lovely time in the parc de la pepinière (where I have been unable to find again the animals!), strolled in the streets where we could see the most beautiful Art Deco villas, had diner at Flo café where the kids had a choir to wish their birthdays... I left the city 20 years ago and came back sporadically in the following years, but we haven't been back for 15 years... We soend a lovely day with wonderful company. So what did we promised ourselves?
