Ah Rye

Rye est aussi une ville du bord de mer. C'est une ville portuaire et un passage incontournable lors de chacune de nos visites dans le Kent... Tout y est charmant, les ruelles, les commerces, les tea rooms, les habitations... On a un peu l'impression que le temps s'est arrêté ici... Dans Rye, il y a deux arrêts obligatoires. Le Soldate de Rye, qui fait des soldats de plomb où Wesley s'approvisionne et passe des heures (littéralement) à discuter d'histoire et puis le Swan Cottage, tea room... Mais celui là mérite un billet à lui tout seul, ce sera le prochain...

Rye is also a coastal city. There is a small harbour and is a must stop whenever we go in Kent... Everything in this city is charming, the small streets, the uncommon shops, the tea rooms, the housing... We nearly have the feeling that time stopped here... In Rye, there are two stop that we always do. One is the Soldier of Rye  who is making tin soldiers, where Wesley stocks up and spend hours (litteraly) talking about History, the other one is the Swan Cottage, a tea room... But this one will be the subject of its own post, which will be the next one...
