La semaine passée lors de notre séjour en Angleterre, nous avons visité Oxford. Je me suis rappelé que Brora (!!) a une boutique dans cette ville, et je m'y suis arrêté. Quelle joie et quelle excitation de pouvoir voir toutes ces merveilles en vrai. Pouvoir toucher les matières, apprécier les couleurs, les coupes... Je fonctionne beaucoup au toucher et j'aurai pu passer des heures à rester là, dans ce magasin laisser mes doigts voguer au gré des cashmires, laines, tweed, jersey et autres... Je n'avais pas prévu cette visite et encore moins de faire du shopping. Mais être là, dans ce magasin, je ne pouvais pas ressortir les mains vides! Heureusement j'été accompagné pas des amis et des enfants qui m'attendaient (plus ou moins patiemment), ça m'a permis de garder la notion du temps. J'ai flané un peu, regardé les robes magnifiques et les gilets aux couleurs chatoyantes... Je n'avais rien besoin, mais sur ma wish list il y a noté "pulls"... C'est quelque chose qui "manque' dans mes armoires. Alors j'ai jeté mon dévolu sur celui ci... D'une douceur incroyable et cette couleur, vive oui, mais tellement assortie aux couleurs que la nature nous offre en cette saison... J'étais comme une enfant, j'aurais voulu le mettre tout de suite... Et puis je recherchais aussi une étole de mi-saison et je suis tombé en admiration devant la "Paisley". Les couleurs sont très chouettes et plus vibrantes qu'elles n'apparaissent online ou sur catalogue. Il y a un mix qui va avec quasiment toutes les couleurs que je porte... Je n'ai pas trop réfléchi pour ces achats, ce qui est un peu en contradiction avec mon project 150, mais je ne regrette rien car je porte ce pull très souvent et il va avec la plupart des mes jupes/pantalons. Pour vraiment adhérer à ma devise 150, un autre pull devra quitter mes armoires et en fait ce seront deux pulls et un gilet qui partiront... Je referai un bilan 150 dans un prochain billet et bien sûr je vous reparlerai d'Oxford...

 Last week, when we were in England, we visited Oxford. I remembered that Brora (!!) has a shop here and so, I just stopped by. It was all happinness and excitement to see all those marvels in reality. Being able to touch the fabrics, appreciates the colors, the style... Touching things is important for me and I could have spend hours there letting my fingers stailing to the mercy of the cashmere, wool, tweed, jersey and others... I haven't planned for this visit, neither for spending. But being here, physically in the store, I could not left empy hands! I was fortunately with friends and children who were waiting for me (more or less patiently), that allowed me to keep the notion of time. I strolled for a little while, looking at the beautiful dresses and the shimmering cardigans... I really didn't need anything, but on my wish list is written "jumpers"... This is one thing that is "missing" in my wardrobe. So I set my heart on this one... So soft, and this color, flashing may be but so in the mood of the wonderful colors the season is offering us... I was like a child as I didn't want to wait to wear the jumper... And I was also looking for a stole for Spring/Autumn and I just felt in love with the Paisley stole. The colors are wonderful and much more vibrant than they appear on the website or the catalogue. There is a mix that matches nearly all the colors I wear... I didn't think much about those buys, which is a bit contradictory with my 150 project, but I have no regrets as I am already wearing a lot both pieces and it goes well with most of my trousers/skirts. In order to really follow the project, another garnment has to leave the house and actually it will be two jumpers and one cardigan that will be out... I will do again a 150 assessment in another post and I will of course talk again about Oxford!

Steph I love your picks! With such wonderful items I bet it is easy to give away 3, now you are sticking to your 150. I've been thinking about that concept this week as I went through my wardrobe yet again with a ruthless eye. Yet it is always the Brora that stays. I am so happy you were able to visit the shop!
